Hi April! The consultation did go well. Now I'm just working on getting all my appointments done. I have to do 4 weeks of Opti-fast pre-surgery, so that'll probably be over Christmas -- yikes! I meet with the nutritionist this Tuesday, so we'll see what she thinks about that.

Looks like you are doing well! How do you feel about the whole thing so far?

I am scheduled for surgury in just 1 small week! I cannot believe it. Dr. Deol is my doctor and she is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think that I could be in better hands. I see all these sucess stories and it is so helpful. My mother was banded lost, 20-25 lbs, and then a year later has gastric bypass. So my biggest "fear" is that I will not lose the weight.

Why did she get the gastric bypass after banding? That is very unusual. Did she not get fills or something?

She was filled to the max...They just told her that she was part of the 20% that banding is just not sucessful, as far as major loss is concerned.
