stephhine 21 Posted January 15, 2013 Hi All! I am almost 3 weeks post-op and back to work. I'm finding that sitting at my desk in my chair, I am super sore in my abdomen. I am thinking it's because I'm hunched over while working on the computer. I didn't have this pain while recuperating in my recliner at home! Has anyone else experienced this? How long does it last?! Thanks for the feedback! Stephanie

morihack 4 Posted January 15, 2013 My surgery date was December 13th and just the past few days I have started feeling normal in my stomach..up until then I was still experiencing discomfort while sitting at my desk or while laying down.
LadyCat 6 Posted January 15, 2013 I had mine on the 13th as well. I have experienced the same feeling. I am making sure that i am getting up frequently and moving around and that has helped alot. It is now much better. Good luck!
Ms.AntiBand 2,984 Posted January 15, 2013 Everyone must be different because my SD was Dec 14 and I've been back to work since the 2nd. I haven't had any issue since my surgery. no recoup needed.. I was in heaven and still super optimistic even in this stall Make sure you don't have clothing that is too tight near any sites because this can aggravate things even internally. Maybe get up often and walk as much as possible If no improvement see dr
mommybo 71 Posted January 15, 2013 Hi Stephanie! I still have the pulling and discomfort on my right side where my big incision is. The surgeon told me it's becase there is a suture connected to the abdominal wall that will eventually break away. He said I might even feel a pop when it does but it shouldn't be painful when it happens. And he said it will last about 6 weeks. Maybe the position your in when your sitting at your desk aggravates it more. Hang in there, it will eventually pass. Maybe try some tylenol in the morning before you leave for work? HopeFaith 15 Posted January 15, 2013 My surgery was 12/28/12, I returned to work on 01/08/13. I found it comfortable to lean back in my chair and stretch my arms to reach the mouse and keyboard. Before I knew it, I was not feeling anything. I also make a point to stand up - even if it is just to stand. Can you adjust your chair to lean back a little - are you able to reposition your monitor (make it higher?)
stephhine 21 Posted January 16, 2013 Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm pretty confident that it's nothing to worry about, just my "innards" healing. I did notice that standing and walking stretch it out a bit so I think I need to focus on doing that more. I keep telling myself, two more months, two more months... I will be good as new. Fingers crossed. Good luck to you all!
