Banned member 320 Posted January 14, 2013 I think I waited until about 7-8 weeks but I'm not quite sure since it's been a while. I lift about once a week and lift heavy weights. I'm still sore from my Friday weight lifting session :/ Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
lsereno 2,525 Posted January 14, 2013 I was cleared by my surgeon at 6 weeks. He said to just avoid stuff that put a big strain on the stomach for a few weeks after that, so I focused on legs and arms at first. Lynda Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
thepick4u 8 Posted January 15, 2013 Mu doc has me lifting weights before I'm even off liquids. Get that. Three weeks out and lifting ordered but can't change eating phase until 1/31. I did have hernia repair but geez something seems off here. Good luck! All Drs are different I went home from hospital and was told to eat purried foods. One week later soft foods !
