paleal1107 14 Posted January 13, 2013 Hi, I'm new to this thread and was told that it would be great to join a support group. I just finished everything my insurance asked of me, just waiting in an approval. I'm just nervous that my insurance isn't going approve it. I could really use some great advice on how to keep the stress away and how to adapt to the "liquid diet". Thanks and I can't wait to read what kind of advice y'all have for me. 4 Tawnie, "MekaOnAMission", Bunnydee and 1 other reacted to this

Bunnydee 40 Posted January 13, 2013 From my own experience I can tell you if you have diabetes or high bp you will be approved. As far as adapting to the liquid diet it will be hard but not harder than dealing with our weight issues. You can do this! I am lucky since my doctor simpley wants me to start my liquid diet 2 days before surgery. However, when I had the lap band done 2 years ago, I was on an all liquid diet for 2 weeks prior. That was hard but doable. I am not sure if the Protein Shakes that costco carries are ok for us to drink but they are good and well priced. Easy for on the go people like me. Good luck and God Bless you on your journey. 2 "MekaOnAMission" and annabelle reacted to this

firelle 146 Posted January 14, 2013 Hey there, I'm a newb too! The office submitted my paperwork to insurance on Wednesday, and I've been thinking about it pretty much nonstop since. I can't wait to hear good news and get the ball rolling on a surgery date. I know the pre-op diet will be tough, but I keep telling myself it will be the last un-aided diet I'll ever have. We can do this!

I just can't lose the weight on my own. I bought some broth and Protein and so far just trying to get used to it. The protein I did the broth not so much. Lol. But I'm thinking about the outcome.
