People are noticing!

Recommended Posts

I was sleeve Oct 17th! Down 50 pds today!!! Yay! It has been wild with people saying "hey, you've lost ALOT of weight!" I was called skinny yesterday, lol (I'm not, but ok).

Although others are noticing, its been hard for me to really notice... Weird huh? I guess thats the body dysmorphia thing!?!?

At any rate, I'm overall happy with my loss thus far. I've made a few bad food choices and I own that, but I would have my surgery again in a heartbeat! I haven't seen this number on the scale in 7 years!!! In 3 months, I'm half way to my goal.... Yeah, wouldn't have happened without my sleeve! ;)

Yaaaa! You're doing great girl! You have to treat yourself to a new dress or something to celebrate! If you wear your 'fat' clothes, you're not going to feel that snappy-vitality a new (or new to you!) outfit brings! I don't want to spend money or charge  clothes I don't be wearing long, but I needed a dress for an out of town family gathering and it was well worth the money! I felt like a million dollars (for a change!) and when I wore the dress to work, everyone was blown away. When people see you in the same clothes it takes a whe for them to notice. Mix it up and pow! Superstar! Keep up the good work!

That's great!! I'm down 45 and this week I went back to Dayshift for the year. Have not seen a lot of people in a while being a vampire and all. But I'm getting lots of compliments!! I smile and say thank you I feel good. Inside it makes me want to jump for joy!!! I also have one friend at work that calls me "hey skinny" instead of Donna now lol !!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
