Frza 194 Posted January 12, 2013 I put them in my shakes. I have a recipe for coconut mango pudding with chia seeds, haven't tried it yet but seems yummy! 1 ShouldBlittler reacted to this
ozeedonkee 145 Posted January 12, 2013 I just like to soak them in Water for several hours, add a splash of flavour, and drink. Apparently, according to several members of my family, that just makes me plain weird

mizzzliza 113 Posted January 13, 2013 What are they and what do they do?
O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted January 13, 2013 What are they and what do they do? They are the seeds of the chia plant. Remember the "chia pet"? They are considered a superfood and are very high in antioxidants. However their primary purpose for us is to control Constipation. They absorb Water & retain it all the way through the digestive track. And they are high Fiber.
mizzzliza 113 Posted January 13, 2013 Oh great thanks. Guess I should add them to my shopping list.

What is the botanical name for chia seeds? I have something called BenVia Gold which is salvia hispanica. Could this be the same thing?
