EricBermudez 0 Posted November 3, 2006 I ve heard bandsters talking about their band getting tighter after a flight. I have not felt that or maybe have not gave importance to it. You know restrictions varies a little day by day. Thanks
Wheetsin 714 Posted November 4, 2006 Hi Eric, I believe I tighter when I fly, but it seems random. Sometimes I'm fine, sometimes it takes 10 minutes for a sip of the inflight drink to clear. *shrug*
Bensmum1109 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Hi Eric- I always get tighter when I fly and the effect can last for a day or so.
Constance 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Hi, I've flown several times for work and I've been fine. No change that I can detect.
Spydr 0 Posted November 5, 2006 My aband tightens up when I flay after about 15 minutes. ONce we land, I'm ggod in a few hours but drinks are not a problem. Planning a trip next week so I hope my band and I don't fight on the plane! :heh:
Road Queen 0 Posted November 5, 2006 I am usually fine when flying. Just the normal variance in band restriction. My problem is every time I get to Johannesburg S. Africa airport. For some reason, I can't eat anything there and I always have a long layover.
EricBermudez 0 Posted November 5, 2006 Now that you mention a long flight, an idea came to me. I believe that flying dehydates, so when u are dehydrated the band gets tighter, or the area where the band is located gets kind of irritated and restriction happens. JulieNYC 4 Posted November 5, 2006 I don't have a lot of fluctuation with my band, day to day, but I have MAJOR change in restriction for about 48 hours after flying. My personal opinion is that it's partially linked to the flying itself, but mostly linked to the fact that I'm an awful flyer. I survived a plane crash when I was 9 and I take xanax to even get on the plane. So, though I didn't realize it until I started reading this thread, it's probably more about the stress I undergo when flying than about the pressure or dehydration itself.
