JMO: I definitely agree that you disagree. Congratulations on your weight loss! And don't worry, sometimes we all come here in a bad mood and flame somebody. It's better than flaming someone you're living with!

So...I'm looking forward to Wednesday's speech by our dear President, and intrigued how Congress will react to the plan for an upsurge in the number of troops. I already hear Nancy P et al saying it's up to the President. His decision to run the war, congress's to fund the war...Tough call to decide not to fund an ongoing war! Quite a sticky wicket.

From what I have been seeing on the news, they are going to have Bush justify the extra troops. If he can't give justification that they agree with, they can refuse to fund it. Personally, I don't see how he is going to be able to justify it, because it seems like all the arguements that they are giving for more troops are the same ones they have given in the past.

That's the impression I got. Not that the Dems are saying outright No, but they are saying it's gotten tougher for Bush, he'll have to justify his request.

Not to worry. Bush was able to justify it just fine the first time around. He'll think of something.

Yeah, but the next step is that when our troops start getting killed, the Dems will be blamed for not supporting them with sufficient troops. Then our military ends up a pawn in a political game. Oh wait...that's true anyway.

I just keep saying it... George W. Bush is the anti-Christ and he has thrown us into the start of WWIII. We will never get out of there. He has sold us all out... democrat and republican alike.

I don't know about WWIII, but we've indeed been sold down the river in more ways than the war.

And now with the threat of Isreal and Iran going to nuclear war against each other, various leaders are saying the USA destabilized the Middle East. I am just sick about it. In the scariest of times, we will have no firends.
