So I'm 2 months post op and some days I feel so normal that I forget that I've been sleeved. Case in point, last night. I spied some leftover chop suey in the fridge and I ate about 3 bites of it, but quickly. Didn't feel so well after that, it felt heavy in my chest. So since I'm so brilliant I decided to drink some Water to help the food go down right. A few minutes later, I coughed, and all this beef flavored brown water came spurting out of my nose and mouth, my husband was quite revolted I'm pretty sure I'm never having sex again. Learn from my mistakes!

Ha! Yep, that sounds familiar. I think it is so strange how we sometimes just "forget"... And I'm still learning or "remembering".. LOL Case in point... I'll be SIX months post-op on Jan. 24. I just made a Protein Shake with Water, greek yogurt, Protein Powder and a little sugar free hazel nut Syrup. Easy... tastes good. For whatever reason, I didn't drink it slowly. Oh... the pain! I had some major air bubbles going on. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to actually burp or what was going to happen. I didn't drink it ALL at once, but it was still too fast. I did end up with some odd burps... but all is good now. 9

I'm sorry you had to learn that lesson...Never, never drink immediately after eating. Your husband will forget it happened before you do!
