ascooke 50 Posted January 11, 2013 How long post-op did any of you wait or did you wait to get perms or color in your hair? Mine is falling out some and has been even pre-op when i did such a drastic calorie drop etc.. My Protein is usually about 90gs 0r more per day and i have begun to take Biotin. I haven't even cut it. Leila Atteberry Alexander 0 Posted January 11, 2013 because of the anasteisa, most likely your hair will not perm or color, if it does take some color, there is a very good chance that it won't be an even color. you should wait 8 weeks to color or perm your hair. Nicolanz 1,484 Posted January 11, 2013 Leila is right. The color may not be even. But, I've colored my hair twice since surgery and it came out beautifully. When you say perm, do you mean to add curl or a relaxer? Either way, the chemicals are a little more harsh than color and it may not curl/relax your hair properly. Its probably safe to wait 8 weeks for better results but if your hair is falling out, the chemicals may cause more Hair loss Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
