Two weeks post op. Out of habit I finished a Jello pudding cup :(. Sitting at my desk at work. Don't know what I was thinking. I feel fine. After the fact I looked up how many ounces (3.5) which equals 7 tbsp. EEEKKK! I am only supposed to have 2 tbsp per serving right now.

It's kinda like liquid. I too can finish a large amount of semi soft food. But with dense Protein, a few bites and it's over. :) don't stress too much about it

I'm 6 weeks. But back at 2 weeks I could also do larger amounts of cottage cheese than others

Edit: I'm sorry! Thought you were speaking about Jello Gelatin. I have not tried pudding at all but imagine that at 70 calories per container for the sugar free ones you should be fine.

Im 5 weeks out and can only eat a half of a Jello pudding cup. I get so full from them. I even try the mousse ones which are lighter and still can only eat a half of one before Im stuffed.

Some of us can handle more of things like pudding and Soup than others. I can get about half a container of yogurt down, but if I'm mindlessly eating, I could probably chunk it all down. Good that you feel fine, but be sure to not use it as license to go hog wild... measured, controlled portions.

I am 6 weeks out. I can eat 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, 3/4 of a chobani yogurt and could definitely put down a cup of pudding (if I liked the stuff). I was taught in my program to eat until satieted and try to limit the day to 3 meals. If I feel hungry, I can have a snack and usually choose a wedge of laughing cow cheese, a bit of salad (mostly lettuce), a cooked shrimp (I say cooked because there are some who eat it raw - eww).

I would love to hear about others who have these 2 ounce restrictions because it is a different approach than I have.

I have the same problem, habit. I have 63 years of slamming food down and adjusting to tiny bites doesn't happen unless I think about it. Many times I sit with a big mouthful and realize that I have to chew that thing for a looong time and let it down slowly or I'm gonna pay for it.

I am trying to force myself to sit for a while before I eat, look at my food, and plan a strategy. Engage the brain all the way through. Wait between bites. Swallow, wait, feel. Did I reach the limit yet?

Time is your friend, invite him to dinner. ^_^

I purposely dont eat enough to feel super full. I eat about 2 ounces every 2 or 3 hours. Usually it consists of about 5 shrimp (cooked but cold), or a couple super thin pieces of turkey wrapped in a piece of cheese or 2 ounces of cottage cheese or 2 turkey sausage links. But I usually stick with 2 ounces so I dont feel uncomfortable. liquids I can take down like nobodys business, no problem. I drink Decaf tea all day long (when Im not eating of course). At night Ill have a tilapia filet but it takes me about an hour to eat the whole thing.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Lost my Pup last month and struggled really hard for that first month. Stopped tracking intake and slid into old habits here and there. Also quit working out. Can't walk in the neighborhood because of all of the memories we shared. Losing my Pup is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever been through. My Pup was my world 💔
Talked to my doc during my one year followup and they were not worried about my current status. They know, and I know, that I will get back on track.
