Doing well. Sleeved July 2nd 2012. Hit goal about a month ago and +- a few lbs depending on what my body wants to do with Water. Started at 360 a month before surgery and am 180 today. I stalled out a lot during the loss phase, probably every 2 weeks after October 2012. Just kept my chin up and stuck to plan. Did not allow the desire to snack or eat snack related foods overwhelm my desire to achieve success. I started out just walking every day after surgery and slowly increased miles and intensity until switching over to ellyptical at month 2. Did ellyptical 1/2 heartily until month 5, but it certainly helped. Started running at month 5 after being motivated by many VST runners. Have not looked back since figuratively. Today I am running 10 k and working on training for a 1/2 by summer. It is amazing what you can do by setting personal goals and sticking to it. Also started cross fit a few weeks ago with an eventualgoal of becoming athlete strong. I am not so strong at the moment. Good luck and keep your eyes on the prize, whatever that may be for you. Feel free to PM me if you want.

I was sleeved on July 5th and have lost 76 lbs. I have gone from a size 22 to 12! I am feeling great!! I am so happy I had this done.

Any of you experiencing some friends not treating you the same? I have or had a really close friend, who weighed almost the same I used to weight, that is very distant now. I am not sure what to do, I have tried reaching out and talking to her but it has not helped.

Congrats on the great weight loss. You are doing great. I have three close friends and only one will say anything to me about my weight loss. One of them always calls me a skinny b***h. Maybe she thinks its funny and it's a compliment, but I don't think it's funny at all. It used to bother me, but now I just think if they are so I unhappy with themselves then they need to do something about it. All my friends are very overweight. I am not going to be upset over them anymore. We worked hard to lose it and we deserve friends who appreciate us for us, not base us on the number on the scale. Good luck and chin up. It's their loss for losing a good friend.

I was sleeved July 18. I'm down 62lbs and been at a three month stall. Love the weight that's off but it's very frustrating when I'm only half way to goal and I can't move past this number on the scale!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
