I like the Atkins Protein bars, and they only have a few carbs. You may be the type of person that has to get most of your Protein from real food, meats/fish/poultry, eggs and dairy. Just use myfitnesspal to track your protein and make sure you are getting at least 60+ grams of protein daily.

Good luck.

I have added Protein bars back in, as most drinks make me GAG.

I use Power Bar "Protein Plus Reduced Sugar chocolate Peanut Butter". It's 270 calories for 22 grams of Protein, which is a bit high (calories) but I cut it in thirds and throw a baggie full in the freezer. Sometimes I grab one for my evening snack if I'm low on protein (and craving something a little 'sweet'); sometimes I blend one up in a shake to cover up the other "protein" taste...

I too have Protein bars -- I can't even look at a Protein Shake now without gagging! I like the Pure Protein chocolate Deluxe, 180 calories and 20 grams of protein.

Power Crunch bars are delicious, they sell them at some Rite Aids, and at Trader Joe's and GNC and Vitamin Shoppe and some 24 hour Fitness centers. They are like wafer Cookies. I think they have about 10-14 grams of Protein.

You have to read the labels carefully some are very high in calories and sugar. Look for low carb versions.

Luna bars are good too but not the highest in Protein. So far the Atkins bars are still the best, not too many calories or carbs. The daybreak bars (cranberry/almond and Peanut Butter fudge) and really good at under 150 calories and about 10-12 grams of protein.

Good info. Thanks. I have been using GNC amp Protein Powder with Peanut Butter dropped in the vanilla shake for flavor. Good for me but I understand not everyone likes the shakes. Bars sound like a good source.
