I'd say no, just cause they can expand with juice in your tummy.

At five and a half weeks it is good to eat carrots apples and strawberries.? I have a no no list for the first six months I don't know where I put it. Darn. Celery is to stringy and chewy. My dies is so limited and I am almost five months post op. not too many things go down.

Whoa. Bad advice in my opinion. NO BERRIES, as the seeds can get caught in your new tummy surtures. NO raw vegtables for six months per several surgeons advice. These are hard to break down on the new tummy. Yes, I actually craved salad those first few months.

Next, your main goal is protien. Until you hit that 60gm of Protein you don't consider a meal that does not give you 15 gm of Protein per 100 calories escpecially in the small quantities new sleevers eat.

What VSG eating guide are you following? Did your surgeon say okay to berries and raw vegtables or fruits? I can give you various VSG diet plans...none recommend berries, rice cakes, popcorn, wheat thins, or carrots in any of these VSG post op diet plans each written by different surgeons across the country.

Sorry, just a little shocked. Hugs and good luck to you!

I would agree if she were earlier out. But at 5.5 weeks her suture line is healed. No worries with the seeds now. But do take it slow. As berries are high sugar, and everybody reacts differently to different foods.

OTR, I respectfully disagree. Our tummies heal at different rates. Surgeons suture our sleeves in different manners. Most surgeons are overly cautious and advise no berries with seeds for several months after surgery.

Same with raw vegtables. Most advise eating none for months. The new stomach is required to make a lot of acid to break down those raw vegatables.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
