Oh My Gosh, This protein drink is so delicious!

Recommended Posts

My friend who does the Protein Shakes had said that we could use the extracts found in the baking aisle is this not the case? This way I was thinking I could add the different flavors to the chocolate or the vanilla shakes

I tried a sample packet of vanilla cake batter today with half a banana....one word! Gross! I added some frozen berries and some sweetener....salvaged it! One food way to get extra Protein (for me) is a scoop of unflavored in my coffee! I am preop and not preop diet. I live alone and am a terrible eater and like most fatties don't eat Breakfast so I started this and find I don't get hungry until mid afternoon

I don't know about the chocolate Peanut Butter but I was looking at the Cookies and cream and the strawberry has anybody tried these? My best friend also told me that she used to buy the chocolate and vanilla and add cooking extract to it like the coconut the banana the strawberry and the coffee to give it additional flavors just a suggestion...

I currently have the strawberry. I've never been much of a sweet person, and I find the strawberry way too sweet for my taste. I'll be going back to chocolate, I'm a bit afraid to try vanilla

Where can I find sample packs? I'm pre-pre op lol but want to get everything set up well in advance including what I can tolerate tastewise.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
