DerickM 1 Posted November 17, 2006 I have 2 tattoos already but when I reach my goal I am going to reward myself with this. Having it put in my back so its gonna be big. Just the circle and the skull and crossbones inside it not the whole thing lol.

wootsie73 0 Posted November 18, 2006 You are worth it! I've been considering a tattoo, but now I've decided to wait until after my surgery, which I hope will be sometime in January!

Archermom 0 Posted November 18, 2006 Hi Infaith! Good luck with your new tattoo! I'm having one worked on my back at the moment and have to say I can't sit longer that 2 to 2 1/2 hours at a time- that all the pain I can handle - and I still have a lot of coloring left to do! Maybe my hubby can take a picture tomorrow and I can show you what it looks when it's in work. I'm glad your mole was not malignant. Carola WHOOWHEE! I'm getting my tat on tomorrow on Saturday! I can't wait. My biopsy for the mole on my shoulder just said that it was A-typical so they want to totally remove it. I was so bummed thinking I would have to wait for my tat since it was in the same area. After much deliberation, with the help of my sister, I decided to change the placement. Instead of on my shoulder (originally wanted it on my left shoulder, but both my shoulders have several regular types of moles on them), I decided to have my dove put in the middle of my back up high starting about my neck. That way I can wear more things to show it off if I wish. On my shoulder I would have to be wearing a halter top or tube top (probably not a lot unless I got my boobs lifted) to show the whole tat. After I get it done, I'll try to post a picture of it, ok?Thanks for all your help on here!
Infaith 1 Posted November 19, 2006 Okay folks....I got my first tattoo. It took 1 hour, 45 minutes. The hardest part when when she was having to go back over places that had been worked on with color. But all in all it wasn't bad and I'm thrilled with the results. Here is a picture my sister took 3 hours after having it done. Keep in mind the lavendar and blue colors will look better when my skin is calmed down. MarySue33 0 Posted November 19, 2006 Here is a pic of mine that (hopefully) you can actually see. It is a tiger in the shape of a butterfly. I love the coloring and shading that he did. This tattoo is about 10 years old and the colors are as bright as they were the day I got it. I love big cats and I love butterflies, so this was a way to combine both into one. Since the butterfly is a symbol of rebirth and metamorphosis, it is perfect for my weight loss journey. It is high up on my thigh. I always tell folks that my tattoo is for viewing 'by invitation only' -- and like so many others who have posted here, I find that folks are absolutely shocked to learn that am among the tattooed! (My mom doesn't know yet...and I have had it for 10 years. She may be Enlightened in about a month, though, as we are all going on vacation together and I expect to spend some time on the beach in a bathing suit!)
