Worried about coworkers

Recommended Posts

Well, I work with a bunch or ladies that are very clicky and judgmental. I am often left out or looked over because I am quiet and probably overweight. I am eager to find out how the ladies treat me once I am thinner. Deep down I hope they treat me the same, because it would be very sad to think they don't like me because I am heavy.

Has anyone else noticed that people treat you different after weight loss?

People do treat you better when you are closer to a normal weight. It is one of the unfair facts of life.

Don't forget, that you will change with your surgery too. You may find some extra confidence and be more outgoing with your coworkers. I am much more likely to go out to eat with everyone know that I don't feel so bad about myself or feel like I am being judged for being the fat girl.

You are changing more than others. Maybe their behavior is a direct result of how you are expressing the changes taking place within you, as well as the physical changes taking place in your body.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
