I have seen some similar threads here but I figured ide start my own also..... if u could give me a list of what I would bee to stock my fridge with and medicine cabinet with... what would it be. I'm going to have surgery in mid February ( hopefully) and I wanted to start stocking up.

I was given a shopping list in my book. Everyone's surgeons and dietitians are all different. I think your best bet would be to contact the dietitian working with you.

i tried a few different Protein Drinks a few weeks before.. made sure I had crystal light, .water, sugar free popsicles, sugar free Jello, ,liquid multi Vitamin, b-12, Calcium, and bought myself a magic bullet blender for my shakes. Also a few containers of low sodium chicken broth. thats pretty much what I lived on the first two weeks.

I was sleeved on Dec 28th....the Protein shake the dietary department in my hospital provided at mealtime had lactose in it, and I discovered I am now lactose intolerant. I wasn't before my surgery. The RN said this is quite typical. Therefore, I spent a lot of time tracking back & forth to the bathroom. I got very sick. It would be nice if hospitals offered a lactose free nutrition option. If I had known, I would have brought my "Bullet", lactose free milk, and lactose free Protein powder to consume during my hospital stay. Would have made all the difference. Sounds like you most everything else covered. Best of luck!!! It is worth it!

I could not make it the two weeks of full liquids without bariatric foods. I have a hot choc in morning (15 pro) Soup for lunch ( cream type (15 pep) and a drink like Lemmon razzy or lemonade (15 pro) and then I only have to have one shake or pudding a day. it is only for two weeks so it is worth ordering the food. the cream of chicken and beef bouillon both 15 pro made with less Water will be gravy on my potatoes next stage and poured over meat as gravy later on.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
