Any seattle sleevers ?

Poodle Dog is the restaurant/bar in Fife.

I think there is a sleeve support group that meets there the second or third tuesday of ever month

SpaveDust, so far so good! Surgery went well, mo complications and with an hour or so post-op ibwasbup doing laps. I have discomfort when intake andrii, But its not horrible I've had so far 24 ounces of Water.

One thing to beware if - I'm an ice person. I love chomping in ice. They caught me at the ice/water station and totally busted me before I could have some. Apparently ice can make you tummy spasm. So all I've had is room temperature bottled Water :(

As far as the staff. They are all fantastic :) a little noisy at night, but with some meds on board I got some rest. I haven't had a lot if pain. The night nurse insisted I take pain meds every 4 hours. I suppose that's not a bad thing though.

Itsme.. Glad to read you're doing so well! Congrats!

And goodness me.. If you don't need the pain meds then tell her so..! Unless it's an OTC pain reliever, Don't let them push narcotics. I'm a firm believer they slow down recovery, or at least slow you down from getting back to normal living.

Again.. Glad your doing well, and hopefully we all can gather some day :D

Hi there... yes I normally go to that meeting... I had to work on the 14th but hope to be there next month. It is on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Great group of ladies! We could use some fellas though if any of you dudes want to add a little diversity to the group... :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
