Hey guys, I'm having such a hard time getting over this hump. I started at 282 and was sleeved on 9/12/2011 a day that changed my life forever. Until now. I was stuck at 212 for the longest time, now with a back injury I'm at 220. I can only do Water aerobics and nothing strenuous. I'm happy with the weight loss, but I have 40 lbs to get to my personal goal. I have done everything except fast to get over this hump. Any ideas?

Low carb - eat Protein first and followed by veggies... skip the juice, bread, rice etc etc.

Drink plenty of Water.< /p>

Go back to all the sleeve basics.

I dont work out so I keep my calories at around 600/carbs under 40/water over 64 oz/prot over 60. Im 8 months out and this plan works for me. Im down 165 lbs (a few of those pre op) with only about 15 to get to a normal bmi. No real stalls. I know some have higher calories/carbs ...and that may have worked but because this was the eating plan for most of the fast losing vets, I have followed it. I weigh and log every bite of food on my fitness pal. If you arent signed up.. I would! Hope this helps!

Agreed. Decrease your calories, increase whatever activity you can, and log everything . I use MyFitnessPal too and I love it, it has really helped me.

600-700 a day in calories, plus low as possible carbs definitely works:)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
