How do you know if someone likes you?

Recommended Posts

There's this guy at my work. He introduced himself to me after I had been working there for around 3 months. He's pretty shy and quiet. After introducing himself, he now goes out of his way to bump (literally bump) into me, pat my shoulder, hold the small of my back while walking around me, and just to see me. We talk a lot and get along great.

Today we spoke on the work phone as he called my department. I asked him to do something for the store, and he asked if by doing this it would make me smile. I told him I suppose it would and he said because that's the most important thing. He did the task and walked by smiling at me.

He has not asked for my number or asked to hang out or anything.

What's your opinion?

I've never been the one to get attention from guys so I don't want to misread this.

Sorry if it seems kinda dumb.

We're both in our 20's.

Thanks! :)

Sounds like he likes you to me! I don't know what that may mean... but I would see how it goes... do you like him? You could ask him to meet for coffee or something neutral away from work...low pressure....

I think he's going to go to my company's party this week. I asked him and he said no, and I said I was and he said he'd see, maybe he'd go.

I just don't want to push it and ask to hang out and then he would say something like "eww." He's polite so I doubt he'd say it like that but I don't want to deal with the rejection.

Plus he's talking to another girl at my work as well. But according to my friends, he's not nearly as touchy and chatty with her as he is with me. I guess I'll just wait and see how it goes. He seems like a nice guy so hopefully I'm not making a mistake by just waiting.

why don't you invite him for a coffee after work, find a common ground that you both cant chat about, but relax and enjoy his company as he seems to enjoy been in yours, and dont mention that you know he chats to another girl as that would let you come across as jealous,

I guess I'm just going to feel it out. I overheard him saying that he would never date someone from work so I think it wouldn't work out. The attention is nice though
