luckylady 0 Posted October 31, 2006 Hi I just need some help. I had the lap band done on August 2 & 3, 2006. I have lost 35 pounds so far. But my new problem is I have been getting very dizzy when ever I get up out of bed or from a chair. I have blacked out a couple of times. Could someone please help me, and tell me what is happening to me. Thanks in advance for all your support and help.
LapBandit 5 Posted October 31, 2006 Well, I'm not sure any of us can answer this online. I'd suggest seeing a doctor because I don't think the band should cause you to black out. That is SCARY stuff! Keep us posted and good luck!
Mrs Husker 3 Posted October 31, 2006 Being dehydrated might be the cause. I will do the “fade to black” thing when I stand up if I am. But check with your doctor. It could be an inner ear thing or blood pressure.
DiscoDiva 0 Posted October 31, 2006 Hi, have you had your blood sugar tested? My daughter and I both have low blood sugar, One day after her shower she passed out and ended up falling back into the tub. When she woke up she didn't know how she got there. BUT.... she had not eaten anything that day and that is one of the problems... You have to eat to keep it up. You may have to eat more than 3 times a day to keep your sugar level up. But you still need to talk to you doctor and find out for sure what the cause is. Good luck.

vintagehound 1 Posted November 1, 2006 call your doctor! I agree, Have blood tests done checking for blood sugar. Dehydration could cause it but how often do you drink Water? Let us all know what have you been eating and how often? If it turns out to be a blood sugar thing, then don't be afraid of the good carbs, like apples and bannanas....... keep us poted, good luck Zoe
