labubakari 24 Posted January 5, 2013 I had my sleeve done june 4, I've lost a total of 100+ lbs & I'm 6 wks pregnant. I found out I'm pregnant new years eve (what a way to bring in the year), we're so extremely happy. My husband asks me how is the baby getting any nutrients if i can't hardly eat anything. Ladies, please give me some advice.
jeanettecamacho07 9 Posted January 5, 2013 You can still carry a healthy baby but you will be hungry and gain weight. Take you prenatal pills and talk to the doctor and all should be fine. Babies have a extremly smaller stomach then you do so keep happy thoughts, good luck!
TheGamer 406 Posted January 5, 2013 Yeah, make sure that you're really working with your doctor to make sure that your nutritional needs are being met. It's not about an infant having a "smaller stomach"... it's about making sure that the mother has enough nutrition to make sure that the fetus develops properly. Deficiencies are a real concern, so please make sure that you're getting adequate nutrition by working with both your obstetrician, PCP, and surgeon's office. 1 Annie B reacted to this
