VSGRachel 25 Posted January 5, 2013 How long is the recovery time for a Tummy Tuck and a breast lift? I'm only 4 months out from vsg, but I'm assuming I'm going to need these.
SeriouslyChange 319 Posted January 5, 2013 Surgeons don't recommend these until around 2 years post op as that's when your weight would stabilize.
Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted January 5, 2013 Tummy Tuck is longer than breast lift. I don't remember exactly but TT is about 4 weeks to feel comfortable. Get your surgery when you are ready, 2 years, that sounds extreme. Your weight could be up or down regardless of time frame.
frumpynomore 204 Posted January 5, 2013 My plastic surgeon and VSG doc said plastics are o.k. At one year out. Just had my TT this past Thursday and i've taken 2weeks off from wirk. I hope I'll be able to go back by then!
sid_n_reagans_mommy 114 Posted January 5, 2013 I will be 7 months out on the 15th. I am 16 lbs below goal weight and I am having plastics on this tues. I also am an industrial maintenance technician (far, far from a desk job), and I went to two different doctors & they said I would be ok to go back to work in two weeks... Oh, and I'm having a TT, breast lift/implant, mini-arm lift. 2 Crystal Woods and mini.mee reacted to this

VSGRachel 25 Posted January 7, 2013 Thanks for all the info everyone! I'm 35-40 lbs until goal and am assuming I'm going to need a Tummy Tuck and at least a breast lift. A friend of mine got her insurance to pay for her tummy tuck, I'm not quite sure how though. That would always be nice.
