DanaInNewOrleans 513 Posted January 5, 2013 I'm currently taking opurity chewable (specifically for gastric sleeve) and I can barely tolerate them. I have to literally talk myself out of throwing them up /spitting them out/gagging while chewing. It's making me avoid taking them. What about gummies? Are there any that meet WLS post-op requirements? I'm also taking sub-lingual B Complex/B12. I don't start calcium citrate until week 4. Help!
JanaLee 24 Posted January 5, 2013 I do the gummies.... I don't know if they have everything we need, but it's better than nothing!
Johnboy996 11 Posted January 5, 2013 My doc told me Centrum chewables was fine. That's what i take, Citrus flavored. For Calcium, Citracal gummies. Tastes like gum drops.
iegal 460 Posted January 5, 2013 For the first couple of months, I did Flinstones complete with Iron, twice a day ground up in my protien shakes. Gross, but I could choke them down mixed in shake. Gummys do not provide the right nutrients we VSGers need. Your taste will continue to change so don't invest your life in Vitamins. I now take TJ chewable Multivitamin at 2 1/2 years out. Do what you can and remember things get better/easier.

misplaced_vol 16 Posted January 5, 2013 I use Celebrate Vitamins. I use the grape multivitamin, grape Iron, and the tart cherry Calcium. They don't taste too bad I must say. The multivitamin is the only one I found to have a little aftertaste but I just chew it first and then the other ones. http://www.celebratevitamins.com/
