shrinkadonk 14 Posted January 4, 2013 Its insane. I'm up till 3-4 am, and the crazy thing is I'm not even super tired when I wake at 7. Whats up with that? Reduce your calories, reduce sleep? Anyone else, or am I the only weirdo?
Richard Foor 655 Posted January 4, 2013 It is possible that as you loose weight you are actually sleeping more effectively so your body which is used to not having effective sleep is now adjusting to the more effective sleep you are getting, my guess is that it will stabilize before to long and you will be sleeping more regularly. 2 BuriedBombshell and Nicolanz reacted to this
Nicolanz 1,484 Posted January 4, 2013 Me! I wonder if it's the B12? I have so much energy now and am rarely tired. I have a 3 month old, so sleep isn't on my agenda. I have crazy dreams too.
ivonneh 25 Posted January 4, 2013 My surgery was 3 weeks ago and last week I experienced insomnia a couple night but I noticed that I had taken my Vitamins late either in the afternoon or evening. So now I try to take them as early as possible. I think vitamins can give you some extra energy at night if you don't take them early.

alley-gator 96 Posted January 5, 2013 Yes! At first I had insanely violent scary dreams, figured out it was from the anti nausea Meds i was on...after being off them the dreams went away, but I am awake every day at like 5 or 6 now. Strange how my sleep patterns have changed!
firebelle10 80 Posted January 5, 2013 Yes- I had crazy insomnia. So my dr prescribed Ambien- I've had some weird experiences on the ambien. I have to take it in bed with the lights off or else I end up doing strange things like organizing closets, cleaning my car ( at 10pm) ordering things on groupon. So I'm very hesitant to take it. I really only take it if I need to recharge my batteries. And like I said I only take when I'm tucked in and ready to go to sleep.< /p>
blewy99 9 Posted January 8, 2013 Glad to see this topic. Was sleeved on 12/17 and have done really well with sleep. About 4 days ago I really started having trouble sleeping. Could fall asleep with no problems, but was awake and tossing and turning all night long. In 8 hours I would say I am lucky to get 3-4 hours of intermittent sleep. I figured part may have been anxiety as I returned to work this week but it hasn't let up any and I actually didn't make it to work today as I woke up almost ill from not having a good night's sleep. Now, here is the crazy twist - if I were to go in and lay down for a nap, I could sleep 3 hours like a rock. I don't do that as I want to be as tired as I can at night to hopefully sleep better. I don't go back to my surgeon for three weeks still but might go in and see my family doc. Have been on ambien in the past and might need just a bit to get me back on some pattern.
