Thank you! That was a great list.

I'm only 6 days post op and am going through the not so fun stuff, so it's inspiring for me to see what I have to look forward to!

Congratulations on your success!

Will do...I'm so scared! Once all your pre-op testing is done you will be good then you wait for approval ...you'll get a date before you know it.

Omg so i went to my gastroenterologist today and he Will be having an Endoscopy done on me. Hoping it happens at some point next week. Have you gotten this done? If so, did they put you to sleep? And how far after the Endoscopy did you have to wait before surgery?

Yes,you are put to sleep for the endoscope. After all your pre-op resting is done and clear. Your paperworkis summited to your insurance after that you wait for approval ...my process from start to approval date took 2month total.

My system is not taking kindly to the pre-op diet. My family doctor said my system is rebelling. Great. I cannot tolerate the shakes at all, so I try to get a few sips, and was told to have Greek Yogurt and drink milk, and attempt to get at least one shake in. Tomorrow I start the clear liquid diet, and Friday is my surgery. I will try and not fear about the post-op diet. The positive list of things loved about the sleeve helps me to look to the future, and that this, too, shall pass.

There are so many things I love about my new sleeve! I thought it might be nice for us to share them so people who are looking into surgery can see.

1. I ate all my fav things (just a spoonful) over the holidays and still lost weight!

2. I can go up the stairs without running out of breath.

3. Crossing my legs!

4. Portion Control is So easy!!!!

5. I never feel deprived.

6. I can walk over 2 miles a day easily and I am only 4 months out.

7. I see my reflection in a window and don't wonder who it is!

8. Sex...OMG

9. I have tons of energy. No more couch potato for me!

10. People sometimes do not recognize me.

11. I was told I look like my graduation picture. (I'm 48)

12. Not afraid of the camera and I am only 1/2 way to goal.

The list goes on and on but those are some I can think of off the top of my head.

What are your favorite things?????

This is my dream list post surgery:)

Wow this post is awesome. I am such a wreck thinking about the worst possible thing that can happen when I get surgery. I have my pre op appt on the 15th of this month and should be getting a surgery date then. I was so scared. But when I read this post it really calm me down and inspired me to keep going. Thank you to all who posted.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
