I have been celibate for 18 months. I am going through the same thing, all though masturbation helps, but not much at all. Just a release. I am also terrified of getting pregnant and stds! I was married too, and sex was safe even if i got pregnant. My ex was also disease free. Im also semi religious. So yes sex is great but for those of us who are single, and for me, there are too many risks to casual sex. HIV, herpes, unwanted pregnancy....etc. so as much as i need and want it, the risks always keep me from doing so. I said in previous post i was on the verge but i know myself, i will chicken out.
