New -- Surgery next week

Hi All,

I'm new to this whole experience and will have surgery on 01/09/2013. Does anyone know what are the best brand of chewable vitamins and best Protein Shakes? I am so worried... my decision was last minute! I'm not extremely obese, but have been overweight most of my life and got sick and tired of dieting and regaining the weight back. My Doctor's name is Dr. Ismael Cabrera (TJ, Mexico), did anyone ever hear of him? He is listed as one of the top doctors in TJ, Mexico for 2012. They also asked me for my thyroid profile before they can approve my surgery! I had to take a blood test and fax them the results.

Hi so happy 4 u i don't have any info 4 u i am new on her also & suppose 2 get sleeved n feb scared but happy @ the same time also worried bout hair lost & the pain imma b n afterwards I'm only 230 like u not very obese how u feeling so close 2 surgery date if u don't mind

As far as Vitamins go, I use the Celebrate brand that I purchase through my doctors office but they are available online also. As far as your surgeon goes, there is a section on the forum dedicated to Mexico so I'm sure you can find out info there on him. Good luck and congratulations

Thank you both for replying to my message. Yes, I am worried and excited at the same time! I will let you know how the surgery goes if I'm not that tired and sick. I have never been to Mexico before, so I'm nervous about that too.

I too am going to Mexico in Feb for surgery. I am also very nervous about going. I've never been too. Can't offer any info about the doc because I never researched him. Like one poster mentioned, there is a Mexico forum you can place his name in the search engine. I'm sure you can find some info on him there. Well congrats on your life changing step and good luck.
