colcol 128 Posted January 4, 2013 I was all ready mentally and in the process of getting all my paperwork together for the insurance to hopefully approve surgery . Then, Hurricane Sandy struck and the hospital I worked at got severely flooded . Now, I am out of a job. The only good thing is that I have my husbands insurance to rely on. The bad thing is that the surgeon wants me to meet with a psychologist which is $250.00 cash. To me it's BS the insurance company wants to make sure your not crazy before having this surgery . It's hard to spend that when you don't have your income right now. So, I postponed the surgery and now I'm getting cold feet about proceeding with it. Im also gaining more weight in the meantime being a stressed out mess with no job . I take interest in reading all of the threads of people's weight loss journeys. I would love to hear from somebody that has had the procedure done who can reassure me that I should do it and not to be such a baby !! Thanks Colleen
kitkat 76 Posted January 4, 2013 my original date was 9/6. I started a new job and let them know I was having surgery and at the time they offered me the position they were fine with it. Once I started and was with in one week of surgery and had been on the liquid diet for a week my boss freaked out and said the site was not ready for me to be away for four days. Long story short I had to move my surgery to December. I had to start the liquid diet again. I wanted to quit but i didn't because I needed to lose weight for my long term health! nothing can get in the way of long term health. It was not any easy wait for sure! worth it but not easy! YOU CAN DO THIS! YUP YUP YUP! 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
