Though they are high protein, you need to be checking the label. It says right on the label "not low calorie" Nutrition Facts Bolthouse Farms - Protein Plus Blended coffee Serving Size: 8oz Servings: Approximatly 2 Calories 190 Sodium 150 mg Total Fat 3 g Potassium 650 mg Saturated Fat 2 g Total Carbs 26 g Polyunsaturated 0 g Dietary Fiber 0 g Monounsaturated 0 g Sugars 24 g Trans 0 g Protein 16 g Cholesterol 25 mg Vitamin A 40% Calcium 20% Vitamin C 25% Iron 8% *Percent Daily Values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet. rswa3319 69 Posted January 7, 2013 Holy cow some of those are SUPER high in carbs! Holy carb! lol My NUT wants me to stay under 50g of carbs a day and between 40-70g Protein a day. So for the drinks I need SUPER high in protein and super low in carbs. I LOVE this thread guys! I didn't know that the big companies sell sample packs! I am ording some right now from Unjury! chocolate milk and chicken broth were a HUGE love of mine before surgery so it sounds like it's gonna be right up my ally. sara-seeking-sleeve 76 Posted January 11, 2013 First off, I am a total newbie in the Protein Drink world--- just beginning the sampling stage for my up coming surgery. I've read in another forum about how great "Sunkist Protein" drinks/shots are. I've attached the nut info of the shots I found online. Does anyone have thoughts or info on this "special type" of Protein they use? I'm thinking these shots might be good in my early days post- surgery. I appreciate your thoughts;)

First off THANK YOU for posting the label. Notice in the ingredients the first thing listed in their "protein blend" is collagen. This is where these shots derive most of their protein. Your body cannot absorb the Proteins in collagen. These shots are PURE GARBAGE. Anybody that recommends them is caught up in the hype of Protein Shots & has not actually done the research. Collagen, aka Gelatin fail miserably at every protein measuring test out there. If you would like to verify this yourself google the words COLLAGEN & PDCAAS together. 1 indian reacted to this

Unfortunately, I've not tasted them so I can't say anything as to their flavor. Here's what I said about them in another post. Well at least the Hydro Whey Gold Standard is a blend of whey isolate & whey concentrate. Typically concentrates taste better, so mixing them makes the shake more palatable 1 indian reacted to this
