LadiWobs 13 Posted January 3, 2013 I'm to finally losing weight I was 261 then 249 after surgery now I'm 237 I'm three weeks out yesterday and I am so scared of losing my hair that everything I do is Protein. I think that I am at least about 80 -85 grams of protein my goal is 220 by the end of January but for about 6 days now I have been here. Should I lay off the protein. Ex oatmeal with 25 grams of protein lunch chopped chicken breast with veggie dinner chopped chicken with veggies I between I usually have one isolate Protein Drink 40g and then a strawberry juice shake 60g. Am I over doing it?
mel2643 68 Posted January 3, 2013 I am 3 1/2 months out and I consume 90 grams of Protein a day , So I do not think you are overdoing it ... As far as Hair loss ... I am currently going through it , started around a lil before my 3rd month ... It seems to be inevitable .... I take a bariatric multi Vitamin , Biotin , Vitamin D and B12 ... however the hair loss is worrisome ... Per my surgeon it happens and it will grow back , Keep up the good work
LadiWobs 13 Posted January 3, 2013 Thanks I'm so worried about it. Even though I keep a full weave in my hair at all times. I can't afford to lose any. My hair is already thin
Johnboy996 11 Posted January 3, 2013 My doc told me min is 60-70g of Protein. Said he like me to do 90-100g. Just depends on your stats, Height, weight, and age.
