My sister and I had the sleeve the same day. It was great doing it together, however, she's at goal and I'm at a stall. I'm stuck at 75 pounds, we've lost the same amount, I had about 60 pounds more to lose than her. Now my friend is already at the 100 mark and she had hers a month after me. Ugh!! I'm busting my tail on the treadmill. I'm grateful for my loss but I have a long way to go and stalling is no fun.

I'm not sure a 75# weight loss is anything to be depressed about. Just keep doing what you're doing... it'll break sooner or later. Good luck!

Congrats on your 75lb loss!! Remember everybody's body is different, try to stay positive!! Try to break the remaining 60 pounds into 10 pound increments, little goals are easier to reach!

Good luck and keep up the good work!!

I don't mean to sound disingenuous by any means. I'm ecstatic about my loss. I've just hit a wall and its been almost 2 months since I've lost more than a pound or two. I expected stalls but getting worried that my body is thru losing.

Ps. I feel great, and NO I wouldn't dare have gotten on a treadmill before. I've kept my all time favorite winter shirt and took a pic, I had to toss the shirt but the pic I a good reminder.

Are you doing honest tracking on MyFitnessPal or something similar?

Just keep following the guidelines as close as you can. It will happen.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
