I am having pain under my left rib cage. It is not excruciating, no fever, no nausea or vomiting, no shoulder pain. I am scared to death I may have a leak. Maybe it is gas. I don't know but I am scared. I am 4.5 months post op. Anyone have any insight? Am I just paranoid?

Do you have your gallbladder? Could be that. Could be gas. Highly unlikely it's a leak. If it continues or gets worse get in touch with your doctor.

I am not sleeved yet so I can't offer any insight on what you are experiencing. Just some thoughts.... Have you done some type of exercise or movement that could have caused this. Not sure if you mean it's a soreness or sharp pains. If this has been going on for a little while, I would suggest contacting your doctor just to be safe. Hope you feel better!

Likely not a leak. I had mine at almost 3 weeks out and that was late, so 4 months seems not likely.

I have a feeling like that at all times and it ends up just being gas! Try a couple of hard burps

Very unlikely to have a leak that far out from surgery. Gas or gallbladder or muscle soreness more likely.

I was told after 3 weeks your risk of a leak is nil, as the stomach has grown over the staple line so there is nothing to "snag". But if you're worried, call your surgeon's office. Better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks everyone. I took son simethicone last night and thankful I still had some Lortab left from my post op meds. After I took both I went to bed and this morning it was all gone. I was freaking out last night!
