any November sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved Nov 8, 2012. I havent had any complications thank God! Ive only slimmed twice and I am slowly starting to add things to my diet but I dont know what wlse I can try. Im scared to try pretty much everything. Any november sleevers that can share what theyve been eating...I seem to be able to drink Water easily. I havent gotten that full feeling from drinking water unless its cold water.

Started pre-op diet at 329lbs

And weighed in at 278lbs on Dec 24, 2012

I was sleeved 11/20, and transitioned to solid food on 1/1. I've been eating chicken, ground beef, even steak, if it is really cut up small. I still drink the Protein Drinks and eat a fair amount of soft foods. Cottage cheese, humus and yogurt are my go tos. the only thing that I have had problems with are eggs. Still can't seem to get them down, no matter how they are cooked or what I put on them. No major loss.

Ive been eating a lot of eggs, chicken and yogurt. I havent had any ground beef. I might try that today. What kind of Protein Shakes are you doing? Im tired of mine. There was a recipe for one on a calender my doctor sent me that I might try.

I was sleeved on the 6th. Down just under 50lbs. Eating lots of eggs and all types of meats (chicken, fish, beef, pork, lamb - all sit fine) with small amounts of veggies and fruits. Don't do Protein Shakes or bars as my NUT prefers me to eat my Protein. The transition to regular foods has been pretty easy!! Haven't thrown up or had any problems yet :)

Thats great neither have I. I had a friend who had her surgery a year ago in december and she said the Protein Shakes prevented her loosing a lot of her hair. Im wondering if its just the protein intake and not so much the shakes.< /p>

I think the losing the hair thing is similar to loose skin. You either get it or you don't - it's down to luck or its just inevitable and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Just my theory!!!

No from what I hear it doesn't start till at least 3 months out. I have very thick hair so some thinning out will save me a trip to the hairdressers!

I was sleeved on the 15th and so far, knock on wood, I've had no poblems eating anything I've tried. Now I'm eating just about any Protein I want along with the key staples like yogurt, Protein Shakes, sf pudding, sf ice/fudge pops, eggs and cheese. Had steak for the first time tonight and did ok. Have had turkey and ham, ground turkey and ground beef made into meatballs. I also did a ricotta bake and had no problems. The transition so far, again, knock on wood, hs been quite easy.

I was sleeved 11/28 down 36 lbs incl pre op diet Loss. I'm eating whatever I want just chew it Alot. I used to start out with 1/2 shake first thing in morn but now I just do eggs and a few hrs later cottage cheese or cheese. I also do Protein Bars sometimes if im out- keep in purse. I try to meet my Protein req but I can eat anything. I stay away from bread rice Pasta but eat that too - just a little. Pasta bothers me the most. I get overfull no matter what. And Soda is a big no! I don't like anyhow so that's good. I find I need to eat every 3 hrs or so otherwise I turn mean and irritable.

You weren't told to stay away from bread, pasta, rice for a while? I am not allowed to eat till 9 months post op as they expand in your stomach and stretch sleeve. Also not allowed Protein Bars until 3 months out as too harsh on the stomach. No soda also till 3 months. Great job on the loss :)

I was sleeved on the 5th with no complications. Im down 54 pounds and have been cleared to eat anything since three weeks out. I stick to straight Protein when I have my meals and substitute a Protein Shake when I am not able to consume a meal or achieve my protein goal of 120 grams. I have notice if I don't hit my fluid goals it gets harder to eat a meal the following day. I haven't hit a stall yet unless you call only being down 2 pounds for one week. Life has been great and I feel wonderful.

Mine was nov 13. I can't do most bread stuff, cracker, bread, rice, tortillas, Pasta, all of these things make my stomach hurt whether they are whole grain or not. I have given it all up for the time being.

Surgery Nov 14 and have lost 40 pounds. S/W 235. I was going really well last week with eating but struggling this week. I mostly eat Greek yoghurt, cottage cheese, smoked salmon, eggs. I really struggle with chicken and haven't dared to try meat yet. Drinking is fine so after the week I have had I am thinking about going back to the Protein Shakes for a while. Chewing really well but struggling. Lots of vomitting.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
