I've gained 3 pounds in the last 2 weeks. I knew that I was making horrible choices, and still couldn't stop myself. I'm fixing (I'm from Texas) my lunch for today, and in goes 2 shakes, and a high Protein yogurt. I'm getting back on track to lose 15 pounds by Valentine's Day.

Nope, me too. All the holiday food, gym was closed most of both weeks and I was just terminally lazy after a hectic year of work.

I sat around and snacked constantly. Not sure how much I gained but I know it is at least 5 pounds.

Back to the gym this week and hopefully riding my bike if fair weather visits us again some time soon.

I was sleeved August 28, my 75 pound loss went down to 72 after this fiasco.

LOL, I think we are all pretty much in the same boat. I gained a couple of pounds also during the holidays. But back to the basics today!!! I just finished my Breakfast Protein Shake. I've got my 2nd one in the freezer here at work, will be taking it out around 11:00 so it can be thawed enough for lunch. Packed my yogart and string cheese for my Snacks and I have chicken and ceaser salad for my dinner tonight.

Isn't it just wonderful that we all only gained just "a few" pounds this year instead of the 10+ that we used to gain? I know that used to be me, but not anymore!

No, not me...but I was sleeved on 12/17, not even 3 weeks ago, so I literally can't, but there's no saying I won't be in your boat next year- just get back on track- after wht you've lost, 3-5 pounds is nothing- you've got this!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
