ChristinesNewLife 20 Posted January 1, 2013 It is finally here! 1/2/13 is the day! I am prepared mentally for a rough couple of days, because I know everyday after that will be just a little bit better, and on the road to healthy and fit! I am busy packing a bag tonight, and getting ready to shower with my special soap. Going to bed early tonight, because I have to be at the hospital by 6am. Any last advice? Things I should bring to the hospital with me? This forum is great, thanks for sharing all your experiences and advice. It is nice to know you are not alone in this journey. You can have a ton of support from friends and family, but having someone, lots of someones understand just what you are going through is great support. Wish me luck! 1 annabelle reacted to this

misplaced_vol 16 Posted January 2, 2013 I just took comfy clothes to wear home and my cellphone charger so I could make sure to keep it charged. I used the notepad on my phone to write questions that I had for the doctors. Good luck. I have my 2 week post op checkup tomorrow
Skinnypie 66 Posted January 2, 2013 Good luck!!!! How exciting!!! I took all the suggestions an had the gas x strips, SF Halls, listerine strips etc, etc... BUT, the only thing I ever took out of my bag was the chap-stick!! I'm sure if I had to do it all over again I'd still take everything just in case... But, don't forget the chapstick!! After surgery when your mouth & lips are so dry... oMG, such a relief!!
