Make sure your getting enough Protein, if your not getting around 60 grams of protein especially while on liquid diet you will be very tired. I is also possible to be tired from being dehydrated so make sure your getting your fluids. Hope this helps and good luck.

I feel your pain. I'm 8 days out and today I had to go up and lay down during the middle of visiting with family. I promptly fell asleep for almost 2 hours. I know that I'm not getting enough Protein or liquid but I physically can't injest any more than I already am! I have 6 days left on liquid and I cannot wait for it to be over already. I am scheduled to see the Dr Monday and plan to ask about getting a nurse to come to my house and give me an IV. I'm so dehydrated!

You've had major surgery and you are not eating anything. You are bound to be tired! It was three weeks before I could go all day without a nap, and I was eating all my Protein in. It's only been six days and your body is in serious shock

^^^ to the girl above me, if you are seriously dehydrated you shouldn't be waiting until Monday to get an IV started! You can do serious damage to your kidneys if you stay too dehydrated for too long. Call your doctor now and ask them what they think you should do.

I was tired for the first few weeks. I remember week 3 was the worst for me because that was also the week I went back to work. It got better, but it took a couple of weeks. Your body needs to rest. It will get better!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
