Yes - you cry for no reason! It comes out of the blue and hits you and a few minutes later you wonder why the hell you are crying! It is crazy - but it passes. I am 7 weeks post op and don't cry like that anymore.

I'm an emotional mess, too. I cry over the dumbest things, and before this surgery it had been YEARS since I have cried. I'm pretty sure my hubby thinks aliens have come down and hijacked my body.

Perfectly normal.....exact time I did the same thing. Some up in the middle of the night and sobbed for no reason. Most of my episodes where at night so I handled them alone and it was ok. You will be fine and it goes away as fast as it hit ya.

Emotional mess here too... I want to be alone and no one bother me... If I could just sleep through every day and be awake at.night when the rest of the world is sleeping I would be fine!!!! I really have no tolerance for people in general... Get mad over everything, have zero patience and am as grumpy as it gets. I'm 5 1/2 weeks out... I hope it goes away soon. I'm miserable

I just had my first breakdown a few minutes ago, i cant stand my dad! And i feel bad cos he's sick, and his meds are making him a little disoriented but i just can't deal with him! On Sunday he left his meds on his bed and my puppy chewed on one of them, we had to take her to the vet and today he dropped his meds again! Ahhhhh i feel like I'm going crazy!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
