All of my December sleevers...

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved 13/12/12 and I've lost only about 40-45 lbs so far. I am jumping around from 175-180 for the last month and a half now. Has anyone been in the same range for such a long time?! I also have been having quick, sharp pains in my left abdomen and ribs the last few days. Has anyone else experienced that??

Me too. I had surgery on 12/18 and I get the same pain on my left side. I thought it was the scars for a while (from the incisions, they are still sore). I just read all about the size of our stomachs. OMG they are small! I don't think I am eating very much but I have been stuck for a few weeks. I need to keep a more accurate log of what I eat.

No idea what left side pains could be about. Right side pain could be gall bladder which is often an issue with periods of reduced fat intake.

I am experiencing some pains in my mid stomach area too. I am going to make an appointment to have it checked out Not sure what it is but at times it leaves me hunched over and in so much pain.. I hope its not my colon .. thats all I could think of..

I had the same issue. Got a cat scan nothing. Turned out to be gastritis. I went on omaprazole 20g daily. By day 4 I was 70% better.

Good luck

Yesterday I hit month 4 post op. I have lost 73 pounds so far. My weight-loss has been slowing down significantly. I was loosing 3 pounds a week for 2 months straight. this week I lost 1.6 lbs. last week 2.4. I have not been watching my food lately so I'm guessing that's it. Hopefully by next week I will be back on track. Writing down what you are eating is very important!

I just bought a smart phone. Any suggestions on phone apps that track carbs/calories?

Thanks in advance

You are going great. I've hit my 4 month mark, and I'm only down 45 pounds. I've hit a lot of stalls, which are very frustrating......

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
