MichiganChic 3,262 Posted March 8, 2013 I think that is a fear for all of us I discovered that my sleeve is bigger then I thought I was able to get in 7.5 ounces in the other day comfortably . I was shocked and I only did it because someone was watching me eat so i kept on eating *Yogurt* and long behold it all fit Normally I stop at half the yogurt but since someone was in my face i kept picking up the spoon because remember no one knows i had the surgery and small things like that are tell tell signs that you did. So i kept on and nothing no full filling to way after i was done. Shocked I fear staying here or even not loosing the amount i really want when I am home its cool to stop when I feel i had enough but at work i pushed my limits smh.. You are so right, it's certainly my fear! I've been worried about how much I can hold, too. Like you, I don't really push it, but I've discovered I can hold more of certain things, and yogurt is one of them. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised though, when I eat just dense Protein like chicken breast, I really am full at 3 oz, and would be too full at 4 oz. I'm learning that some days I can eat more than others, some days I'm hungrier than others, and what I'm eating really does impact the amount of food I can hold. We all know the rules and probably follow them, but I feel like I'm finding my way in the dark sometimes. I'm learning there is not a one size fits all approach to managing weight loss post sleeve. I also think my body is going to do what it is going to do. I do follow the rules, count every calorie, exercise plenty....so when the scale does not reflect that hard work, I am disappointed, but I just think time will tell. doreen70 268 Posted March 8, 2013 Day of surgery 275 lbs. Current weight 229 lbs. Total lost 46 lbs. I was sleeved December 17, 2013. I was spilling out of a size 20 pants and 22/24 top. My scrubs were a 2xl bottom and 3xl tops. Those were snug. I now comfortably wear a 16 jean and size 18 top. My scrubs are xl and I'm kinda swimming in them. I am guilty of weighing every day. And have had weeks when the scale didn't move, or if it did, I would gain a pound. I follow my diet, get in 64 oz of Water. My carb intake is 20 gms or less. This week I did cut out the Atkins Protein. Bar for Breakfast ( I was too lazy to cook breakfast ) and my scale started too move in the right direction. abridgie 73 Posted March 8, 2013 I removed all scales from my home before surgery. I weigh at doctors appointments only. I don't want to be a slave to the scale.< /p>

Soft foods like yogurt and shakes are totally different than meats etc. I can drink a whole shake or eat a whole yogurt, but if I have more than 2 ounces of meat I will be in pain for hours b
abridgie 73 Posted March 8, 2013 I can usually eat 4to5 oz of yogurt no problem but meat it's 3 oz and I'm done!

Candyapple 32 Posted March 8, 2013 Day of surgery-231 Today-201.6 Sleeved-12/17/12 I was at a stall since my last appt on 1/29. That's a little over a month. Was stuck between 205, 206, 207 & so on...I decided to do Lil Diva Bootcamp this week. Started on Monday at 206.6 & today I'm at 201.6. Glad to see the scale move in the right direction. I start my day off at 6 with Water and try to eat or drink something every hour. I do sugarfree flavorings Protein Drinks and seafood all day. That helped me alot.... OMG lesson learned this morning, Wish I would of saw this first! Since I thought I had 6 + ounces to spare I picked my breakfast as such. 2 ounces of beef sausage 1 ounce of 2% cheese and 2 ounces of yogurt! Let me tell you I am suffering right now I eat fast ( I know I shouldn't) and it hurts! Guess it is only certain foods that will go through in that amount! I wish I would throw up im so full and in pain! And I hate throwing up but this is worse! UGGGG Never again I will stick with what I been doing i hurt myself today and am not happy! I cant wait till my pouch empties!
nailsbyniki 120 Posted March 8, 2013 I would LOVE to have your numbers that quick' date=' you shouldn't be frustrated, you should be very grateful! What do you eat each day? Water? Exercise?[/quote'] I am grateful that the weight is coming off and not on, I guess I'm just not that happy that it doesn't seem fast enough....but then again it takes someone like you to show me that I should be happy with my progress! I always eat my Protein first, exercise about 4x week, and never get all my water in although I tell myself everyday that I'm going to. I've had several complications though I try not to talk about it too much on here and truth is I'm still going thru some rough times but I guess that's why I still get discouraged with what I think is a slow loss. Thanks for your post, I will try to stay positive!!
