I was sleeved 12/17. I've lost 30 pounds, but have been on a stall for the last 4 weeks. contacted my NUT, she said this is normal, and to keep the course.

It is good that we are in contact here all having been sleeved around the same time. Although we have some differences do to age, starting weight, etc it seems that most people have had a stall for up to the lSt four weeks so it must be normal.

Now I am adjusting my food and Water and exercise up since my. Calories and Protein was so low. It looks like I am getting out of the stall especially once TOM is done.

Went for my six week post op, Dr. Was happy with my weight loss. :

30 lbs since surgery Dec. 19th and 50 Total since Sept. He said the stall was normal as well.

Oh my gosh all of you are doing remarkable! Congrats and keep it up.

Just remember not to go on the scale more than once a week and the stalls are so your body can catch up. I notice inches going away during the stalls. Kind of reminds me of my kids gaining weight before they grew an inch or two when they were young. It's just how our amazing bodies work.

My doctor has not even discussed weight with me, and has indicated that as long as I am losing weight, eating well, and exercising, I am succeeding! I have to say, it's nice not to feel like I am being evaluated every time I go in, because then it would just feel like every other diet I have ever been on! This feels more like a shift in my body and my brain, and everyone is on my supportive team.

I'm with you. my doctor is just happy if I'm loosing he dont even care about the Protein Shakes I told him I hate them and I'm grown and WON"T drink them and he said as long as I'm getting in 50-60 a day with my food intake then he is good with that so I eat mostly fish and chicken and yogurt to assure that because Protein shakes taste like yuck lol. I simply told him what I was eating and that I walked 30 minutes a day and he said good job lol, No pressure on me either thank God, I already feel some sort of way since I had to buy a new scale that placed more pounds on me from the last scale I had, But since they still see weight loss they are good with it. *shrug*

I stalled for 3-4 weeks about 2 weeks post op. Then I lost rapidly and steadily for almost 2 weeks (another 14 pounds) and now I'm stalled for a full week again. I've never been addicted to drugs but this is what it must be like lol. While I'm losing I'm king of the world and want to do anything i can to make it never stop. While I'm stalled I'm depressed and nagged by fear that I'll never start losing again. Highs and lows. At least I can laugh about it.

Just had my 6 week check up last week. My doctor and nut are not concerned with rate of loss. Sleeved 12/17 and down 30 lbs. They want me to get 60 g of Protein and 64 oz of Water. I asked what to expect in lbs lost per week. They said it was so variable that they don't predict other than to say that by 6 months it is usually 60 to 80 lbs. Sounds good to me!

Ok, update my surgery was 12/27/2012, I was only on my pre-diet for 5 days and only lost 3 pounds because it was kind of a rush to get the surgery done before the new year, so I count my weight loss as a total. So, I started at 251 and I weighed this morning and I am now 229, so at 6 weeks including week prior to surgery I am a total of 22 pounds down. I guess this is good, I ended up getting sick right after surgery with a really bad cold and was in bed for a week, then ended up with a stomach virus one day, but have been fine since. :-)

I feel the same, I'm trying not to weigh daily, have been measuring every 2 weeks, just increased Protein to 90-100 and kept carbs below 30g. It helped me break my stall.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
