brittlogan 3 Posted January 1, 2013 Hey guys just want to ask a Q.. I'm on soft foods for another 2 weeks and I'm doing good with chicken salad and tuna salad..( eggs arent goong so well) I chew it the 30 times and it doesn't hurt.. It's about the only way I can get a real Protein in.. But is there anything that I can put the chicken salad on and eat it?? I just want to vary my meal a little but don't know what classifies as a safe soft food.. I am going to call my nutrionaslist wed when they reopen but thought id ask here.. And also just want to add that I'm only able to eat about 5-6 bites of the chicken salad/ tuna salad.. Thanks for your thoughts!
IsB 209 Posted January 1, 2013 You can season it with just about anything. I like curry powder in my chicken salad. Fresh herbs are great too. Try some chopped tarragon and a little dijon mustard. Chicken salad doesn't have to be boring.
brittlogan 3 Posted January 1, 2013 Thankyou for replying.. I do make the chicken salad with good seasonings I meant more like what to eat with it.. Pre surgery I loved chicken salad on salad greens or wheat thins or a wheat pita.. Is there something like that that is safe during the soft phase?? I know crackers or a def no right now.. It seems like I read somewhere on here someone put it on a thin slice of pickle forte extra texture.. But I don't think I can have pickles on softs.. Right?? I'm sure I just need to keep eating it with a fork but it nevers hurts to hear other advice
