I Have to move VSG surgery because I recently had to have EMERGENCY surgery to remove a cyst . Actually this was Thursday . The gyn thought it was on my ovary but actually it was by the rectum . However , my Fallopian tube was wrapped around it . Soo they had to take that out . Out of all of this I am grateful because I don't want to deal with this my first year in college and to save all my other organs . I love kids so I am so happy we are born with two tubes . As of right now I can not have another surgery for 3 months so VSGmight have to wait . BUT AS I SAID ALL IN ALL I AM GREATFUL.

No not yet jan 8th and as the days get closer I seem to panic.... I'm preparing mentally and emotionally... Done a lot of reading on here and it helps to hear all the different experiences, good and bad. But I am leaving it in gods hand..... I wish you a speedy recovery.

I'm glad they were able to fix the issue before it worsened. I'm sorry about the delay, because it can be frustrating. But the reality is that more time to prepare is never a bad thing and three months will go by more quickly than you think. I waited three months from the time I booked my surgery to the time I was able to go and have it done, so I understand. I read so much and learned a lot and I think that it really helped me post op.

I'm glad you still have one tube and I have more than one friend with a similar situation that was able to conceive this way, so no worries for your future. I'm sure everything will work out in time.

Best of luck, and here's wishing you a speedy three months!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
