dreamerfalava 6 Posted January 4, 2013 It gets easy. Hang in there. I think there is not one person Who probably felt the same way days after surgery. I was in so much pain and hated that everything was a chore' date=' but I'm 5 weeks post op and thrilled I did it. Pre Op: 298lb / Surgery Day: 288lb / Week 1: 278lbs / Week 2: 267.5lbs / Week4: 263.7lbs.[/quote'] Gives me hope

dltrautman1 27 Posted January 4, 2013 Just about all of us felt the same way. I really questioned it the day aftersurgery. By day 7, you will feel much better. Next, the weight starts to drop and you get real excited. I am 3 weeks out and so glad I did it. It is not always easy but hang in there. Focus on hydration right now - Protein will be soon enough. Soon you will be eating an egg like me! 1 nekaneek reacted to this
kpaige77 49 Posted January 4, 2013 I know exactly what you mean. I am 16 days out and for the first week I was miserable and wanted my old tummy back. It does get easier everyday. Some days are good and some arentnso good. Its like.a.funeral of sorts. In the past when I was sad or emotional I would eat myself silly. Now I cant so I have do deal with those emotions. For the first week and a.half I would laynin bed at.nightnand.just sob. My husband was beside himself worrying about me and I was so full of regret but too embarased to say so. Emotionally I have stabalized and are.feeling.better each day. Still have moments of what did I do???? But they are fewer and fewer as time goes on. Having people notice the weight loss already helps too. Hang in there. Allow yourself to cry when younneed to. Don't be afraid to call ur Dr if ur pain meed aren't helping. Best of luck to u! This is a great site with lots of supportive people so definitely take advantage of that! 1 lilricanliz reacted to this
Crystal Lavoie 29 Posted January 4, 2013 I PROMISE YOU this will pass quickly. I had a leak and even still, would do this again. I'm 3 months post-op and 54 lbs down. Worth every single moment, both good and bad. This will be your life saver just as it is mine. Word of advise, ditch the Protein for now. You need to focus on getting your Clear Liquids in and staying hydrated before you work on protein. I couldn't and still can't stomach plain Water. I highly recommend Mio. It's much better than Crystal Light. Keep your chin up. You can, AND WILL, do this.
dreamerfalava 6 Posted January 4, 2013 Thank you I'm feeling a little better today I'm still nauseous and I'm getting as much liquid in as I can but I think I'm doing maybe less then 10 oz a day I'm scared of being dehydrated I'm just scared idk if what I'm feeling is normal I just can't wait to feel normal again 1 lilricanliz reacted to this
lilricanliz 9 Posted January 4, 2013 Try not to be so worried about getting dehydrated. As long as you sip your Water and are getting a little something down, then you'll be fine. Popsicles and Italian ice work magic during this time period. Trust me I'm not far behind you girl in the post of phase. Enjoy the time off and relax!!! MrsHall42 1 Posted January 4, 2013 I also just had my sleeve on 12/31/12 and am in the same mindset sometimes. However, I know it will pass and get better. The worst part for me is the nausea. When it hits me, I do get up and walk it off - which is what one of the nurses told me to do. I just hate the part where we sip, sip, sip - and then I get full and can't keep sipping. I'm not really in much pain - just taking liquid Tylenol. Let's hang in there. I can definately tell I'm getting better each day. It gets easier to walk and get up each time I do it. Best Wishes! dltrautman1 27 Posted January 8, 2013 It is great to talk to others who have been thru it. Most have felt the same way. I really questioned it - I am now a month out. Even though I am in the dreaded "s" word - I am so happy now that I did it. Hang in there!

circa 333 Posted January 9, 2013 Totally normal- all I can say is walk walk walk! That discomfort will get better and better each day. Keep moving. Don't force anything, Take your time and sips. That gas from surgery can take a good week to go away. Totally normal to not be hungry though. You aren't going to get everything down for a couple weeks or so. There's a lot of swelling that needs to go down - you have pressure on the inside of your sleeve and the outside too. Let it heal and just look forward- it DOES get better. Nearly. Year out here - Down almost 150 lbs and the only regret I have is not having the surgery sooner Sent from my iPhone using VST
