I believe they do. I use Priceline and sign up sp they can alert you when the price drops.

also remember to check some smaller budget airlines individually. I wound up getting the best price and flight by booking directly through Jet Blue.

I'm going alone (2/11 date with Dr. Ariel Ortiz & staying at the Marriott). I obsess over the little things . . .e.g. we have lifting restrictions after surgery so picking up my suitcase in the hotel room? Pack light! Super light, and use a rolling suitcase.

I live in Southern Cali so I'm lucky in that a good friend is driving me down to the airport where they'll pick me up to head across the border. She's also picking me up afterwards.

I actually like the idea of going solo. I don't have to worry or focus on anyone else - just me!

I agree. With you I went alone and I liked it better than having to worry about someone else while I am recovering I did fine while there

I went to TJ alone & had no problems or worries. I was actually taken wetter care of there than some of the hospitals I've been to in the US. Everyone was very informative & hospital & recovery center were very clean. The Dr's, Nurses & staff were great!!! Best experience I've had where surgery was involved.

I might have to go alone if we can not get a sitter to take care of our twin boys. Is it hard to go solo, I want to use dr Fernando Garcia.< /p>

I am going alone March 22 to Garcia thru Ready4Achange and I am so excited... Figuring out flights is a pain! (Huge expense to figure into budget for times needed) Does anyone know if MiHospital has WiFi?

I have seen many posts that say that the hospital and hotel both have free Wi-Fi

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
