I'm slowly starting to introduce soft foods into my diet. I've noticed after eating egg beaters (as recommended) I feel like Is either going to throw up & a burning sensation. Is this normal?

I cannot remember the beginning of the soft food phase but 9+ months out, eggs tend to give me problems. I continue to eat one egg three times a week for Protein but just know to take an acid reducer and pray for a good day. Even after that combo, I still have slight issues. Best of luck!!! :-)

With me - its hit or miss with eggs so I tend to stay away from them. I know it's a great source of Protein, but I never know if it'll be one of those times when it won't agree with me....good luck!

eggs don't agree with me... They usually come back up by the end of the day.

I guess I just need to take it slow with the food. I just hate this burning, acidy feeling! Thanks all!

I am 5 months post-op and still stick to Protein Shakes in the morning rather than eggs.....my sleeve does NOT like eggs. Maybe someday.

eggs are probably the only thing I can consistently not get sick with!

I too stick with a Protein Shake for Breakfast. All typical breakfast foods make me wanna vomit. So I stick with my tried and true.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
