Heyo!!! I'm new here.. I lurk around and comment every now and then but this is my first official post. After reading a super scary post I decided to ask a few of my own questions. How many of you have had previous c-sections before weight loss surgery and how did it affect your surgery? I've had 3 c-sections and I'm reading now that scar tissue can be an issue. Kind of feeling lost as to what to do before surgery. Thanks in advance for advice and support :)

I've had one c-section (my second child was a VBAC) and had zero complications with my surgery.

I've had 2 c-sections and neither surgeon I seen seemed the least bit concerned about it. My c-section scar wayyyy lower than my sleeve incisions and gallbladder incisions. I cant see how it would be an issue at all. Has your surgeon mentioned it?

I had 2 c-sections and no issues at all so far (sleeved 12/18). I kept telling people the pain from this surgery was far less than my c-sections :)

I was sleeved 12/10/12,have had one c section in 2010. My Dr never mentioned that the c section could be a problem. I had single site sleeve gastrectomy and only had two incisions. Not sure of that helps you at all....

No he didnt mention it but I read about a woman that had scar tissue and the surgeon cut into a bowel because he couldnt see :( thankfully she is okay but it scared me a little bit.

That makes me happy because my c-sections were a breeze. It just fet like I did a thousand sit ups but I was good to go after a couple hours.

Aww thank you, you're the best! Day 5, that's awesome! I really had no problems with any of my c-sections. I often got comments of why I was walking around and shopping instead of in bed. So that makes me feel relieved about recovery for WLS. Although I haven't really been nervous about the rcovery part just the surgery part.

I had 2 csections. My last one was 7 weeks before being sleeved. To me, the sleeve was worse. My csections were no problem and people were shocked that I had just had a baby. But I had no complications. I just had to care for a 7 week old when I got home.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
