I was really really hoping to be at 200 for Christmas, that means another 18 pounds to go but at this point I don't see that happening so I guess I'll have to stick with 207, about halfway. We'll see.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm I only have 2 more weeks to lose 4 lbs to reach my Xmas goal of 208........dunno if I can make it (especially since I now can't work out for awhile due to my knee) but I'll try....I made an achievable Xmas goal so it will suck if I don't make it!!!!

*I can do this/I can do this/I can do this*....

Oh....cooookie!!

HI guys,

I am thinking I won't make my new Chrismtas goal, and I am not good and not reaching my goals. But... what can I do./ Also, I will be down in Ontario for Christmas with family, so it is going to be really challening the whole way through. What to do!!

Well, my goal was 215, but I will try to be happy with whatever the fates toss me. I am working hard (joggged 2.2 k yesterday).

Hope you all get to that goal, and if you don't hope you are okay with it

Thanks Argon,

Yeah... I have decided just to work my --- off and see if I can do it. The problem for me is I start travelling on Monday. I fly to MTL and then work for three days, then my dh and the kids fly to MTL and we all take the train to TO the next day and then it is a few days here and a few days there. Where will I weigh in? Does anyone know how accurate one digital scale is to the next?

So... I am hopeful, but trying to be realistic too!!!

Thanks for all the support guys!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
