November/Christmas Goal

Recommended Posts

Awesome! You should put something like "Christmas Goal" on top of it, so people don't harass you and say "Sheesh... getting the lapband for a measley 12 pounds!?!" :thankyou: Or else put up your total lost ticker too... I love seein' it!

Thanks Argon,

Next time I will put the whole bit up!!!!! (It's a pain when I write from home because everything is saved on my work computer!!)

Thanks,

Dawn

You know... it doesn't make sense that your ticker doesn't work when you're at home... tickerfactory tickers are just URL's, and not something that's saved on your computer... I use a computer at work (right now) and at home, and my ticker shows up all the time. Hmmm... weird.

I had picked a Christmas goal before I saw this thread (picked it a couple days ago), but am gonna join in. I'm really hoping Santa can take 20 pounds from me.:grouphug:

And by then I'm gonna make it a goal to get in 3 hours of exercise a week.:)

Hi guys,

I am reporting how I am doing on my goal (see the ticker...) and wondering if this is the place to ask about this. I am dizzy... has anyone else felt this way? I am wondering if my blood pressure is low. I was going to get a fill in two weeks and then I thought... no I am doing okay with no problems so I won't muck around with it yet. But, this week I notice that I am full really quickly (i.e. 1/2 an English muffin is too much today).

Anyone have any ideas about the dizziness?? I would love to hear your thoughts!!!

I would ask this in a new thread, OR maybe even in the 'general' area, so anyone (not just canadians) sees it and answers.

I get dizzy too, every now and then. Why not go get your BP checked, even at one of those drugstore BP machines?

Are you losing consistantly every week, or have you lplateaued?

(or even do a search for "dizzy", and you'll find probably 100 people who asked the same thing! )

Gosh, I finally got the extra 5 pounds of McFlurry fat off I put on before my fill. So now I'm back to 277. But alas, all the craft and bake sales of Christmas. I've been realy good, no going crazy, but goodies everywhere!!! Think I better add more extra-cirricular activity:eyebrows: .

I too broke down at the pressure of the bake sale... we had one at work to raise money for the 'social committee". 2 separate days, I bought: Peanut Butter fudge, and a little plate with a piece of peanut butter marshmallow square, homemade Reese's PB cup, a brownie, and a shortbread cookie. Someone slap my hand!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
